Baltimore

Southeastern

Homicide victim identified -- Police identified Derrick Taylor, 26, of the 4300 block of Shamrock Ave. yesterday as the man who was fatally shot early Sunday in the 400 block of S. Lehigh St. Metro Crime Stoppers at 410-276-8888 is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment.

Assault -- A 90-year-old woman was knocked to the pavement in the 500 block of S. Durham St. Wednesday by a woman who attempted to choke her. The assailant fled with the woman's purse, which contained $20. The victim sustained minor injuries. Residents of the street recognized the attacker, who was being sought by police yesterday.

Eastern

Arrest -- Keionna Baker, 25, of the 12600 block of Water Spout Lane in Owings Mills was arrested Tuesday in an apartment on Lachlan Circle in Baltimore County on a warrant charging her with vehicular manslaughter. Baker is accused in the hit-and-run death of Doreen Winters, 49, who was struck by a 1998 Mitsubishi Galant on July 30, 2004, while crossing the 900 block of E. North Ave. The car was found abandoned a short time later several blocks from where Winters was hit.

Arrest -- Gary Washington of the 500 block of N. Fremont Ave. was arrested Tuesday at the district station on a warrant charging him with aggravated assault. Washington, 28, is accused of stabbing Perry Johnson on May 8 in the 700 block of Bartlett Ave.

Southern

Arrest -- Grace Ellerbe, 31, of the 1000 block of Bethune Road was arrested Wednesday at the district station on a warrant charging her with aggravated assault. Ellerbe is accused of stabbing Denothre Calloway in the 2900 block of Round Road on March 23.

Burglary -- Two pipe threaders, two pipe vices, a 14-inch band saw, two scales, a grinder, hand tools, an air conditioner, two hoist chains and an antique bottle - all valued at $12,700 - were stolen from Inner Harbor West Warehouse in the 2100 block of Kloman St. between Friday and Tuesday.

Burglary -- A 24-speed mountain bike valued at $300 was stolen Tuesday from the rear yard of a house in the 100 block of E. Clement St.

Burglary -- A stainless steel bathroom sink valued at $275 was stolen Tuesday from a house under construction in the 1300 block of W. Lombard St.

Robbery -- A gunman with a birthmark on his neck robbed Family Dollar store in the 1200 block of W. Pratt St. of more than $100 about 7:45 p.m. Wednesday and fled on a bicycle.

Central

Theft -- The owner of a boat tied up in the Inner Harbor near the 300 block of Light St. reported Wednesday he was working on the vessel Saturday afternoon when he noticed that a box containing $1,181 was missing.

Theft -- A purse containing a digital camera, eyeglasses, two cell phones and $90 was stolen Wednesday from a 1994 Ford pickup parked in the 100 block of S. President St. The items were valued at nearly $1,000.

Baltimore County

White Marsh

Burglary -- A shotgun and ammunition were stolen Sunday from the bedroom of a house in the 8800 block of Philadelphia Road by someone who entered through a rear a door.

Burglary/arrest -- A man broke into a house in the 11500 block of Belair Road over the weekend and was in the process of placing stereo equipment and other property at the front door when the occupant came home and chased him outside. There, the intruder drove off in a 1997 Mercury Marquis that was stopped by police a short distance away. Arrested and charged with burglary and held on $75,000 bail was Jeffrey Bock, 49, of the 8200 block of Old Philadelphia Road.

Bank robbery -- A man who implied he had a handgun robbed Provident Bank in the 1700 block of Chesaco Ave. of an undisclosed sum of money about 6:35 p.m. Wednesday.

Towson

Burglary -- Lawn-care equipment was stolen Tuesday from a shed in the 1700 block of Glenridge Road.

Pikesville

Burglary -- Video games and jewelry valued at nearly $9,000 were stolen Tuesday from an apartment in the first block of Long Stream Court.

Woodlawn

Burglary -- A guitar, 36 compact discs and a camera - all valued at $2,660 - were stolen Tuesday from an apartment in the 3800 block of Brown Hill Road.

Essex

Burglary -- Nearly $50 in coins were stolen Monday from a house in the 1800 block of Kitty Hawk Road by someone who entered through a window.

Burglary -- A red-and-white 1998 Honda 80-cc motor bike valued at $4,000 was stolen Monday from the yard of a house in the first block of Congressional Court.

Cockeysville

Burglary -- Between May 15 and Monday, someone entered a house in the 800 block of Western Run Road through a rear basement door and stole a guitar.
