Police investigate homicide

City police are investigating a fatal shooting Tuesday night in East Baltimore.

The victim, whose name was withheld by police, was found lying on the pavement in the 1400 block of Federal St. by officers responding to a reported shooting about 11:45 p.m. He was declared dead at the scene, police said.

In an unrelated homicide, city police identified a man who was shot to death Sunday night in the 1700 block of Frederick Ave. as Odell Lamont Wagner, 36, of the 2500 block of W. Pratt St.

Police said that as of yesterday there had been 111 homicides in the city this year, compared with 105 at the corresponding time last year.
