GIRLS

STATS -- The junior third baseman, a first-team All-Howard County selection last year,batted .391 for the Eagles (16-4) with 11 extra-base hits and 24 runs. The three-year starter also excelled with her glove, making just three errors for a .927 fielding percentage. Oleinik, a three-sport standout, earned first-team All-County honors as a midfielder in field hockey in the fall and also is a member of the indoor track and field team.

SIDELINES -- Oleinik, a member of the National Honor Society and Spanish National Honor Society, has a weighted 4.64 grade point average and enjoys math and science. She has been a Girl Scout since the first grade and is a counselor at summer camps with the organization.
