Goals allowed by the top-ranked Mount Hebron girls lacrosse team in its 16-0 win over Stephen Decatur in the Class 3A-2A state championship game on May 23. It is the first shutout ever in a state title game. The Vikings (19-0) won their 10th straight title, 14th overall, and increased their winning streak to 97.


Races in which Atholton junior Andrew Revelle had defeated Howard sophomore Joey Thompson at major invitationals and championships dating back to the indoor track and field season this past winter. The string was ended when Thompson beat Revelle in the 3,200 meters at the Class 2A state championships on Thursday.


Career points for Mount Hebron girls lacrosse standout Megan Bosica. The senior midfielder, last year's Metro Player of the Year, scored 232 goals and added 100 assists in her four years. She will play at North Carolina next year.
