The Color Parade is a U.S. Naval Academy tradition going back to 1871, making it the longest-running pa rade at the academy. The colors are presented to the company that has distinguished itself through excel lence in academics, athletics and professional accomplishments - and Thursday, the 4th Company re ceived that honor. The next day, 980 midshipmen graduated from the academy, the majority of them to be come Navy ensigns.
