Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Robbery -- Police were seeking four men who robbed Food City in the 2000 block of W. Fayette St. of an undisclosed sum of money Friday evening. After one of the men placed candy on a checkout counter about 5:20 p.m., another man displayed an object that appeared to be a handgun and ordered the clerk to give him the contents of the cash register.


Robbery -- A man reported Sunday that while walking in the 400 block of George St. about 9 p.m. Saturday another man stopped him and asked for a light, then drew a knife, placed it at his throat and robbed him of $60.

Stolen vehicle -- A black 1999 Acura RL with tags LKT 678 was stolen Sunday in the 1200 block of N. Eutaw St.

Burglary -- Someone entered a house in the 500 block of St. Mary St. through a rear window Saturday night or early Sunday and stole a stainless-steel trash can valued at $100.

Theft -- A stereo system valued at $150 was stolen from a 1997 Toyota Corolla parked over the weekend in the 600 block of St. Paul St.

Stolen vehicle -- A silver-colored 2005 Dodge sedan with tags 9BP D91 was stolen over the weekend in the 200 block of E. Read St.

Theft -- A global positioning satellite system valued at $650 was stolen Sunday from a 2004 Toyota van parked in the first block of E. Read St.

Theft -- A radar detector valued at $250 was stolen Sunday from a Jeep parked in the 200 block of Water St.

Baltimore County


Abduction/assault -- A 21-year-old man told police that six men forced him into a car in the 11800 block of Reisterstown Road about 9:30 p.m. Saturday and drove him to the 12600 block of Bonita Ave. There, the victim said, he was beaten and struck with a knife before rolling down a hill and into a stream. The victim said he hid in woods before calling police about three hours later.

Stolen vehicle -- A beige, four-door 1995 Mazda Protege with tags 1AT P53 was stolen Sunday in the first block of Richmar Road.

Stolen vehicle -- A beige 1993 Ford F-250 van with tags 06N 175 was stolen Sunday in the 1000 block of Woodkey Lane.


Burglary -- Someone entered a house in the 9800 block of Edisto Way on Sunday, possibly with a key, and stole $2,000 and a digital video disc player valued at $500.

North Point

Assault/arrest -- Two people were arguing in a house in the 1900 block of Madison Ave. about 4 p.m. Sunday when one struck the other over the head with a beer bottle. The victim refused medical attention. Arrested and charged with aggravated assault was a 17-year-old boy from the 100 block of Ventor Terrace.


Robbery try -- A 48-year-old man told police he was withdrawing money from an automated teller machine at Sun Trust Bank in the 7600 block of Harford Road about 5:30 p.m. Sunday when a man armed with a handgun and a knife demanded the money while trying to stab him. Rather than comply, the victim said, he tripped the man, causing him to fall to the pavement. The would-be robber fled without the money.

Robbery -- A gunman entered a Subway shop in the 7600 block of Belair Road about 9:15 p.m. Sunday and robbed a woman of her purse containing cash and property. The gunman drove off in a car bearing stolen tags.
