Shakespeare outdoors -- The Chesapeake Shakespeare Company will present Taming of the Shrew and King Lear on alternating weekend nights, June 2-9, at Patapsco Female Institute Historic Park, 3691 Sarahs Lane, Ellicott City. The fourth Chesapeake Shakespeare Company-in-the-Ruins includes picnicking before the performance with live music, spoofs of Shakespeare, fight demonstrations and family performances, with activities for children on Sundays. Performances are at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays; 5 p.m. Sundays. Gates open 90 minutes before performances. Tickets are $25; $22 for senior citizens and children ages 11 to 18. Children and youths to age 18 are admitted free if accompanied by a paying adult. Fathers will be admitted free June 18.
