Substance abuse meetings at center

Substance abuse meetings and counseling will be held at 6 p.m. Fridays and Sundays, and 7 p.m. Saturdays at Chesapeake Christian Center, 7975 Tick Neck Road, Pasadena. Men and women of all ages are welcome.

Indoor yard sale in Glen Burnie

The Community Church of God will hold an indoor yard sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. tomorrow at 306 5th Ave., Glen Burnie. No rental spaces or tables are available.

Lunch will be available for purchase.

Proceeds will benefit missionaries here and abroad.

Methodist church's Strawberry Festival

Pasadena United Methodist Church will hold a Strawberry Festival from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 3 at the church, 61 Ritchie Highway.

The festival includes pit beef, desserts, face painting, games, dunking booths and music. All are welcome.

Musical fundraiser at Unity by the Bay

Unity by the Bay will have a musical fundraiser from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. June 3 at 836 Ritchie Highway, Suite 18, Severna Park.

Greg Martins will provide the entertainment.

All proceeds will benefit Unity by the Bay.

Continuing events include: silent unity prayer time at noon, Monday through Thursday; meditation from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesdays; and "A Course in Miracles" from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Thursdays.

Catholic church offers information

Our Lady of the Chesapeake will hold an information night at 7 p.m. June 4 for anyone interested in learning more about the Catholic faith.

Anyone interested in becoming Catholic or who would like to talk, listen and discuss Catholicism, is welcome to attend.

The Youth Choir from Trinity Baptist Church of San Antonio will perform at 10:30 a.m. June 4 at Heritage Baptist Church, 1740 Forest Drive, Annapolis.

Free choir concert at Jenkins Memorial

Joshua Community Praise Choir will present a concert at Jenkins Memorial Church at 7 p.m. June 4 at 133 Riviera Drive, Pasadena.

The concert is free and open to the public.

The Christian Science Society, 101 First Ave. S.E., Glen Burnie, will have a meeting on spiritual healing at noon and 8 p.m. June 7.

Strawberry festival and flea market

Jenkins Memorial Church will hold its annual strawberry festival and flea market from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 10 at 133 Riviera Drive, Pasadena.

A continental breakfast will be available from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., and lunch will be available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Vendors and crafters are needed. The cost is $10 for a space with a table and $7 for a space without.

Sandwich, yard sale set for June 10

A pit beef sandwich sale and a yard sale will be held June 10 at the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer to raise money for the Arundel House of Hope Resource & Day Care Center.

The yard sale opens at 8 a.m., and sandwiches will be available from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church, 7606 Quarterfield Road, Glen Burnie.

The cost is $4 for a sandwich or $5 for a meal, which includes chips and a beverage.
