An article in yesterday's Sports section stated that Tim Wittman was fired as coach of the Baltimore Blast on March 20, two days after he was alleged to have shoved one official and choked a penalty box attendant. The Blast did not fire Wittman. The Major Indoor Soccer League suspended him for the remainder of the season, then added two years and a fine to the penalty.

The Sun regrets the error.
