Revelle lifts Atholton to 2nd in 2A South

Junior Andrew Revelle won three gold medals and a silver, accounting for 38 of Atholton's 91 points at the Class 2A South regional championships at Long Reach last week. He helped the Raiders to a runner-up finish behind Howard.

On Thursday, Revelle ran the anchor leg of the 3,200 relay, powering Atholton's foursome to a time of 8 minutes, 23.28 seconds and second place. Later that day, he won the 3,200 in 9:30.53. On Saturday, Revelle scored victories in the 800 and 1,600. His time in the 800 was 1:59.51, while his time in the 1,600 was 4:22.49.

Revelle has the metro area's best times in the 800 (1:57.77 at the Howard County Spring Track Classic) and the 1,600 (4:19.0 at a county league meet) and the third-fastest time in the 3,200 (his time at the regional championships). He has won state crowns in cross country and indoor track (in the 800 and 1,600), is an All-Metro selection in both sports, and the reigning county Runner/Performer of the Year in both sports.
