LOUISE DOSTER KREPP KNECHT, 88, passed away May 19, 2006, in a local hospital after a short illness. She was the widow of John P. Knecht, Jr., of Norfolk VA, and had moved recently to Imperial Plaza retirement community in Richmond to be closer to her family. A longtime resident of Norfolk and Virginia Beach, she was born in Baltimore MD, and grew up on Darley Ave. While in Baltimore, she worked for The Hecht Co. in women's fashions. She was an active member of Park Place United Methodist Church in Norfolk and led its Ladies Wesley Bible Sunday School Class for 20 years. After moving to Virginia Beach, she became a member of Haygood United Methodist Church. She also belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her son Joseph W. Krepp of Chester, VA; her daughter and son-in-law David and Martha Knecht Jackson of Fairfax VA; her brother John A. Doster of Ellicott City MD; four grandchildren, Troy L. Krepp and Jo Anne K. Ouellette of Chesterfield VA; Melanie J. Mc Cormack of Quinton VA; and John D. Jackson of Centreville, VA; four great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Interment will be Saturday, May 27, at 1 P.M. in Baltimore at Parkwood Cemetery, 3310 Taylor Ave. In lieu of flowers, family and friends are invited to contribute to Haygood United Methodist Church Hand Bell Chorus, 4713 Haygood Blvd., Virginia Beach, 23455 in memory of Louise Knecht.
