Calendar to be available at Savagefest

May 21, 2006

The Savage Historical Society's 2007 calendar, "Sketches of the Savage I Remember," will be available at the society's booth during the Savagefest, to be held June 3 and 4 on the grounds of Carroll Baldwin Memorial Hall.

The calendar features the artwork of Laurence H. Whitehead Sr.

The society is seeking help in identifying the names of residents of Savage who served in the military during World War II. A replica of a World War II poster honoring them is being planned, and names, branch of service, date of entry into the military and date of release, a photograph in uniform (or civilian attire) and any memories of Savage, especially during World War II, are being sought.
