Requard, Louis T.

May 20, 2006

On May 16, LOUIS T. went home to be with the Lord. Louis grew up during the depression and like so many others of his generation worked many small jobs to help his family. As a young man he worked during the day while obtaining a law degree at night from the University of Baltimore. As a newly minted lawyer he began work for Western Electric where he continued working for over thirty years. As a proud father he coached many of his son's baseball teams and supported his daughter's work as a youth counselor. His defining feature, however, was a love for the Lord. He devoted much of his adult life to worship and healing. Louis is profoundly mourned by his wife Madalene; his son Ted and daughter Linda, his grandchildren Rebecca, James and Sven; his sister Joan Asplen Puma; his stepsons Richard and Robert and stepdaughters Carolyn, Karen and Joyce. Visitation will be at Evans Chapel of Memories-Parkville on Friday May 19 between 7 and 9 P.M. and Saturday morning between 9:30 and 10:45 A.M. Thereafter there will be an interment service at the cemetery for family. A memorial service open to the public will be held at 10:00 A.M. Sunday at Joppa Road Baptist Church, 2413 E. Joppa Road followed by a reception. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church.
