New twist to old rivalry

In sports, O's, Nats hometowns haven't always been neighborly

ROCKVILLE -- On one wall of David Cope's basement hangs an autographed color print of the late Baltimore Colts legend John Unitas. On another is mounted a game ball from the first win in Ravens history.

Those particular sports items may be puzzling to those who know Cope, 42, as a former Washington Redskins vice president and a high school classmate of Redskins owner Daniel M. Snyder. Or to those who knew him more recently as the Washington Nationals' sales and marketing chief, a post he has now left to run his own consulting firm.
