Dance ensemble needs volunteers

Footworks Percussive Dance Ensemble seeks volunteers ages 18 and older with finance or fundraising backgrounds to help with grants, financial reports and other duties.

Also needed are long-term office volunteers to answer phones and assist with filing and word processing.

100 needed to help with riding therapy

Maryland Therapeutic Riding is seeking more than 100 volunteers to assist with horseback riding lessons Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings.

The Crownsville center offers lessons for children and adults with special needs.

Volunteers serve as horse leaders, walkers and general barn maintenance staff.

Volunteers are required to attend a training session before starting.

One will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. June 24.

Jaycees seek leaders for development

The Severna Park Jaycees are seeking volunteers to join them in individual, leadership and community development.

Volunteers should be ages 21 to 40, display leadership abilities and be willing to participate in park cleanups, holiday meals and other community events.

Advocacy group in search of help

Court-Appointed Special Advocates and Friends of CASA are seeking volunteers to make a difference in an abused or neglected child's life.

Participants will be screened and trained.

Volunteers are also needed for fundraising and administrative duties.

Hospice auxiliary needs volunteers

The Hospice of the Chesapeake Auxiliary needs volunteers to sell Ultimate Dinner & Theatre raffle tickets to support hospice patients and their families.

Volunteers will sell raffle tickets Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at locations throughout Anne Arundel County.

The raffle drawing will be held Sept. 13.

Habitat needs five for AmeriCorps

Arundel Habitat for Humanity is in need of five AmeriCorps members to serve one-year terms beginning Aug. 29 and ending July 21, 2007.

Available positions are for three construction assistants, one youth program coordinator and one faith relations coordinator.
