Last week -- Brett Wetterich won the Byron Nelson Championship for his first PGA Tour title, closing with a 2-under 68 for a one-stroke victory over Trevor Immelman.

Last year -- Paula Creamer beat Jeong Jang by a stroke to become the second-youngest winner (18 years, 9 months) in LPGA Tour history - and the youngest winner of a full event. Marlene Hagge won the 1952 Sarasota Open 14 days after her 18th birthday and took the Bakersfield Open two months later. Both of those tournaments were 18-hole events. Creamer won the Evian Masters in July and also won two events in Japan.

Last week -- Karrie Webb became the LPGA Tour's first two-time winner this year, beating Lorena Ochoa and Hee-Won Han by seven shots in the Michelob Ultra Open. Webb, also the Kraft Nabisco winner, has 32 tour victories.


Next event -- Senior PGA Championship, May 25-28, Oak Tree Golf Club, Edmond, Okla.

Last week -- Bobby Wadkins led wire-to-wire in the Boeing Championship to beat Ray Floyd by a stroke. The 63-year-old Floyd shot a 63.
