Provident Bank announced the appointment of Carole Anne Stafford as a

senior vice president within its commercial banking division. Her office is in the regional bank's Baltimore headquarters.

Health care

Johns Hopkins Medicine announced that Jeff Ventura joined its division of media relations and public affairs as an assistant director.

Hospitality

Morton's The Steakhouse in downtown Baltimore named Shanna Cochrane as assistant manager. Her duties include employee hiring and training and managing the wine program.

Awards

St. Agnes Hospital announced that Francis Ndula was named the Southwest Baltimore hospital's nurse of the year. Assigned to the home care division, he is the first male to receive the award.

Modern Healthcare magazine named Dr. Sandra B. Nichols, chief executive officer of AMERIGROUP Community Care's Washington-Virginia health plans, as one of the top 25 minority executives in the healthcare industry.

Legal and insurance

Venable LLP admitted Beth A. Caseman to the regional law firm as an associate.

On the board

Blind Industries and Services of Maryland announced that Judith D. Moore, chief executive officer and partner of LaserGrade LP, was named to a post on its board of trustees.

Professional services

PSA-Dewberry, the regional architectural firm, announced the appointments of Eric Snellings as director and Margaret Bower as senior planner for its Baltimore office

Hord Coplan Macht Inc. named Scot Foster a senior associate and Eileen English an associate at the Baltimore-based architectural and landscape architecture firm.
