Go Try It

May 13, 2006|By ROHINA PHADNIS

What it is -- As buzz about the taste and health benefits of specialty chocolate grows, Ghirardelli introduces a line of dark bars to cater to the demand.

What we like about it --Of the four flavors -- Twilight Delight, Toffee Interlude, Espresso Escape and Citrus Sunset -- Twilight Delight contains the highest cacao content (72 percent). This rich, concentrated cocoa taste is for connoisseurs of dark chocolate. If you prefer something sweeter, try the smooth-tasting Toffee Interlude. The toffee and caramelized almonds balance out the slightly bitter dark chocolate.

What it costs --$2.99 for a 3.5-ounce bar

Where to buy --Available at Linens-N-Things, Bed Bath & Beyond, Borders book stores, Pathmark, Wegmans, Wal-Mart Super Center, Target and other stores
