Maryland men's basketball coach Gary Williams has included Chuck Driesell, son of former Terps coach Lefty Driesell, among the candidates to replace assistant coach Rob Moxley, sources have confirmed.

"I'm going to interview four or five people and make sure Debbie [Yow, athletic director] meets the two or three [finalists]," Williams said in a recent interview.

Chuck Driesell is the head coach at Bishop Ireton High School in Alexandria, Va. When contacted by e-mail recently, Driesell said, "There is nothing to say right now."

Sources have said Terps assistant Michael Adams is interested in returning to the NBA, but Williams said he is not concerned about Adams leaving his staff."[NBA teams] are not allowed to talk to him until their season is over," Williams said. "I mean, are the Wizards going to hire him? Who are they going to get rid of? Nobody looks into the facts of the story.

"They see, `Michael Adams is thinking about leaving.' Why? Well, he was a pro coach - yeah, sure, he was an [NBA] assistant, then he coached the [WNBA's] Mystics. Does that mean he wants to leave?"
