Waterfront festival

The lowdown -- Miss out on the Volvos' visit to downtown Baltimore? Not to worry. Baltimore County has its own Community Waterfront Festival this Saturday. Children can participate in arts and crafts, games and a scavenger hunt in the Glenn L. Martin Aviation Museum. Attractions include marine exhibits, a boat show, live entertainment, a chance to talk with WBAL-TV reporters, food vendors, a historic skipjack, water taxi tours and a fireworks display.

If you go -- The Baltimore County Community Waterfront Festival will be held from 10 a.m. until dark on Lockheed Martin property at Dark Head Cove. The Martin State Airport, Wilson Point Road in Middle River, will provide aviation demonstrations, which conclude at 5 p.m. This event is free. Relay for Life'

The lowdown -- The Community College of Baltimore County, Essex campus, will host the American Cancer Society's "Relay for Life" this weekend. Join other racers in honoring cancer survivors and the memory of those who have died from the disease.

Music and arts fest

The lowdown -- The Susquehanna Music and Arts Festival this weekend celebrates folk music with singer/songwriters such as Cris Williamson, Catie Curtis, and local artists SONiA & disappear fear. There will be arts and crafts and kids' activities.

If you go -- The festival will be held at the Ramblewood Resort, 2564 Silver Road, Darlington, tomorrow through Sunday. Gates open at 3 p.m. tomorrow and 9 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. No dogs allowed. Tickets are $15-$100. Visit
