One-run baseball games played in the county on Friday. Atholton edged Hammond, 7-6; Glenelg beat Wilde Lake, 5-4; Oakland Mills got past Long Reach, 4-3; and Mount Hebron defeated Howard, 6-5.

Home runs hit by the Oakland Mills baseball team in an 11-5 win over Reservoir last week. The Scorpions got two homers each from Brad Shepherd and Ian Frank, and one each from Drew Permison and Jeff Randolph.

Consecutive games in which the Glenelg boys lacrosse team has kept its opponents under double digits in goals. On Friday, the Gladiators (10-1, 9-0) came away with a decisive 10-6 win over River Hill, shutting down a Hawks' attack that averaged 13 goals a game.
