Banking and finance

Provident Bank appointed Donna M. Whitehead as senior vice president within the finance and control division at the regional bank's Baltimore headquarters and Cheryl J. Yuille as vice president within the small business division in the Lutherville office.

BB&T named William D. Kruzynski an assistant vice president. He is a private banker at the Bel Air office of the regional bank.

Susquehanna Bank appointed Michael Metz to the post of commercial relationship manager at the Hagerstown office. He is responsible for managing and developing new commercial business.

M&T Bank chose Daniel Cannaday as a relationship manager. He is responsible for management and development of commercial relationships in the automotive, recreational vehicle and marine industries.

Health care

MedStar Health appointed Suzanne E. Gorman as business development vice president for its Visiting Nurse Association.

Legal and insurance

Ober/Kaler admitted Stephen D. Charnoff, Washington office litigation practice, and Penny Somer-Greif, Baltimore office financial institutions practice, to the Baltimore-based regional law firm as associates.

Professional services

CNSI appointed Rodger Blevins as senior vice president for federal programs for the Rockville-based provider of information technology solutions to government and commercial enterprises.

Rosen, Sapperstein & Friedlander, Chartered named Robert W. Hobson director of business development for the Owings Mills-based regional business consulting and accounting firm.

CSD has promoted Scott Huot to associate at the Baltimore architectural and interior design firm. A landscape architect, he has been with the firm since 2001.
