Matthew Trimmer, Boys' Latin

BOYS

STATS -- The junior catcher was Boys' Latin's top hitter over the Lakers' first 12 games, batting .621 with seven RBIs. A first baseman as a freshman, Trimmer moved to catcher last season, when he batted .474.

SIDELINES -- Trimmer also played football for the Lakers last fall, helping them reach the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association B Conference title game. He carries a 3.8 grade point average and scored a 1,250 on his SAT. Trimmer's course load has included all honors classes since his freshman season. Trimmer plans on attending Case Reserve University and majoring in physics.
