Century junior midfielder Jenny Steadman enjoyed a record-breaking day and also was the driving force behind a 3-0 week as the No. 3 Knights (13-0) secured titles in Carroll County and the Monocacy Valley Athletic League's Chesapeake Division.

In a 20-9 win over Westminster on May 2, Steadman broke the program's single-game record for goals with nine and added an assist as the Knights successfully defended their county crown. On Thursday, she added three goals and three assists in a win over Tuscarora before having a five-goal, three-assist performance in a 14-6 win over Urbana that gave the Knights the MVAL division crown.

An attacker in her first varsity season as a freshman, Steadman has moved to midfield and become a valuable two-way player. Along with her 94 points (66 goals and 28 assists), she also is asked to mark the opponents' top offensive threat.

She also plays varsity soccer and was a first-team All-County guard in basketball.

Others considered: Kellie Christain, Catonsville, track and field; Tiffani Long, Long Reach, track and field; Brooke Owen, Chesapeake-AA, softball.
