Creative Direct Response announced that Joanna De La Cruz, staff accountant, Toby Gohn, account executive, Marni Grimm, production manager, and Mikaela King, account executive, have joined the advertising firm's marketing department.

Mission Media has chosen Jay McCutcheon as vice president of business development for the Baltimore-based advertising agency. He was formerly vice president of marketing for the Downtown Partnership.

M&T Bank promoted Drew McKone and Dennis L. Noah to administrative vice presidents of the regional bank.

DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary US LLP appointed James D. Mathias as chair of its litigation practice in the Baltimore office of the international law firm.

Astrachan Gunst Thomas admitted Rey del Rosarioto to the Canton law firm's commercial litigation, commercial transactions and intellectual property practice.

Defense

Northrop Grumman Corp. appointed Catherine Lamb-Heinz as director of communications for its Baltimore-based Electronic Systems sector. She is responsible for all internal and external communications functions, including media relations, advertising and employee communications.

Hospitality/tourism

High Hotels Ltd. promoted LJ Carter as assistant general manager of the Hampton Inn & Suites in Annapolis.

Media

WBAL-TV 11 named Anthony Arbucias local sales manager for the Baltimore NBC-TV affiliate. He formerly was national sales manager for WCVB-TV in Boston.

Professional services

Aon Consulting appointed Gary Viener as manager of the retirement practice in its Baltimore office. A 32-year veteran of the firm, he is also a senior vice president and manager of the actuarial practice.

Brown Craig Turner appointed Robert W. Gehrman as a stockholder and senior vice president of the Baltimore-based architecture and design firm.

KCI Technologies, the regional engineering firm based in Hunt Valley, named Peter Mattejat senior water resources engineer and assistant division chief at its Laurel office.

FTI Consulting Inc. appointed Adam I. Cohen, technology consulting practice, and Joseph Doloboff, transaction advisory services group, as senior managing directors.
