On Saturday April 29, 2006, ROBERT DURAND POTVIN, 62, beloved husband, friend and love of Marilyn K. Hornback, loving father of Robert (Camille) Potvin, Jr., of Baltimore, MD, beloved grandfather of Robert Potvin III, and Melinda Potvin, loving brother of Richard (Loretta) of Minneapolis, MN., James and David both of Las Vegas, Barbara (Charles) Schmidt of Gillette, WY, Patricia (Ronald) Berens of Selby, SD, good friends and former wife Ruth Potvin of Salisbury, MD, loving uncle and great uncle. He was born July 2, 1943 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin the son of Jeanne Marie (Durand) Potvin Goergen of Mobridge, SD, and the late Wilfred J. Potvin. He was a U.S. Marine and worked for the Maryland Sate Police, retiring in 1988 as Detective Sergeant, after moving to Ohio in 1993 he worked as a special deputy to the U.S. Marshals Service for the northern District of Ohio until 2005. Throughout his lifetime, Bob entertained everyone he met with stories of his lifelong passion of fishing and "Catching the Big One". Friends will be received Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Misencik Funeral Home, 36363 Detroit Rd., Avon, OH., where funeral service will be held Tuesday 8:00 P.M., with his brother-in-law Paul Hornback and Pastor Dale Reed officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
