Nfl Draft

April 29, 2006

WHO WANTS REGGIE BUSH?

With N.C. State defensive end Mario Williams set to be the top pick after signing with the Texans, all eyes are turning to the Saints to see whether they sign Reggie Bush or trade the pick.

WHO WILL THE RAVENS PICK?

Many draft experts have the Ravens picking Oregon nose tackle Haloti Ngata, whose big body might allow Ray Lewis and the rest of the lineback- ing corps to run free and make more plays.

WHO'S THE BEST QUARTERBACK?

USC's Mark Leinart and Texas Vince Young top most lists, but NFLperson- nel staffers say Vanderbilt's Jay Cutler (left) might be the best quarterback in this year's draft.

BARGAIN FINDS

Once the clock starts, the hype may subside for some players predicted to go high. For example, Young could drop to the Raiders at the seventh or fall even further. USC running back LenDale White was well thought of, but many have him dropping into the late first round.

A RUN ON TIGHT ENDS

Maryland's Vernon Davis (left) leads an impressive class of tight ends, a position many teams are focusing on to find speed to create mismatches with linebackers and safeties.
