On Monday, April 24, 2006 JOAN M. SHAW (nee Mehlinger), an educator and innovator of literacy programs throughout Baltimore City School Systems. She taught English and Reading for over 30 years in both elementary and high school settings. She was a champion tennis players and a frequent tournament player at the Silverbirch Swimming & Tennis Club. Beloved wife of Morton Shaw; loving mother of Jill Ruddock of London England and Jan Shaw of New York City, N.Y. Devoted mother-in-law of Paul Ruddock and Sig Heller; beloved sister of Murray Zeligman of Baltimore, MD and Mimi Hart of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Beloved sister-in-law of Rhoda and Shirley Zeligman. Loving grandmother of Sophie Anna and Isabella Ruddock. Services at SOL LEVINSON & BROS INC., 8900 Reisterstown Road at Mt. Wilson Lane, on Wednesday, April 26 at 2 P.M.
