On draft day, NFL teams will have their fingers crossed, hoping the old bromide that what you see is what you get holds true and the soon-to-be millionaires they've just selected live up to their game tapes and scouting workouts.

But for whoever picks Penn State defensive end Tamba Hali, the real payoff may be in getting what you don't see.
