Justin Mulford scored with six seconds left to give eighth-ranked Mount St. Joseph a 7-6 boys lacrosse victory over fifth-ranked and host Calvert Hall yesterday.

Mulford finished with two goals for the Gaels (8-5), and Patrick March had a team-high three points (two goals, one assist).

Walker Jungers had a game-high four goals for the Cardinals (8-3).

No. 2 Gilman 13, No. 10 St. Mary's 10 -- Kevin Carroll scored four goals and Griff Shay had three to lead the Greyhounds (8-4) past the visiting Saints (6-6). Grant Krebs had three goals for St. Mary's.

North Harford 8, Fallston 7 -- John Kemberling scored the winning goal for the Hawks (8-1) with 8:08 to go as they defeated the Cougars. The Cougars led 5-2 at the half, but the Hawks took the lead in the third until Ryan McNicholas scored his fourth goal of the night with three seconds left in the quarter to tie the game at 7. Dean Thrasher led the Hawks with two goals and two assists.

Baseball

St. Paul's 6, No. 2 Calvert Hall 4 -- Joe Petty went 3-for-4 with an RBI and three runs scored in the upset of the host Cardinals (15-4).

No. 4 Catonsville 6, Owings Mills 5 -- Jeff Lanahan (2-for-3) drove in the tying run and scored the winning run on Chris Smith's single as the visiting Comets (9-3) beat the Golden Eagles (8-3).

Meade 8, Old Mill 6, 10 inn. (susp. game from March 31) -- For the first time in 14 years, the Mustangs (5-7) beat the Patriots (4-8) in a game resumed in the ninth inning. Julian Hanes hit a two-out, two-run walk-off homer in the 10th.
