Croquet match

The lowdown -- "The Johnnies" of St. John's College will battle the Naval Academy "Mids" for the Annapolis Cup in the 24th annual croquet match. St. John's has won 17 out of 23 times, but Navy took home the cup last year. Attracting more than 1,000 spectators, some appearing in elegant costumes, the event will present music from both the Naval Academy and St. John's bands.

If you go -- The ceremonial first ball will be struck at 1 p.m. Sunday on the front lawn of St. John's College, 60 College Ave., Annapolis. The match will last about two hours. Festivities last through late afternoon. Free. Call 410-626-2539 for more information.

Tour city murals by bicycle

The lowdown -- The Baltimore Mural Program has teamed up with Monumental Bike Tours to present the Baltimore Mural Bike Tours, which will take place Sunday. Take a bike tour around Baltimore to visit some of the city's historical landmarks, murals and attractions.

If you go -- The tour will last from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and kicks off at Ellicott Driveway and Frederick Avenue. All riders must be at least 12, bring a bike and wear a helmet. Participants younger than 17 must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are $15 and must be purchased in advance. Call 443-263-4318 or go to promotionandarts. com for more information.

Johns Hopkins Spring Fair

The lowdown -- The Johns Hopkins University will hold its annual Spring Fair tomorrow through Sunday. The event will include arts and crafts activities, food vendors and a beer garden. Rides and games are provided as well as other activities for children. This year, the main attraction is a performance from punk-rockers Brand New.

If you go -- Brand New's performance will take place Saturday night at Hopkins' O'Connor Recreation Center. Doors are at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10. The fair's hours are noon to 7 p.m. tomorrow and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The beer garden is open from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. tomorrow, noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
