Space Particle

The lowdown -- Particle's music is a unique blend of fast-paced space funk, rock and electronica. The group, which got its start in 2000, recently added two new members. The band, which performs Sunday at the Recher Theatre, has recently recorded and sat in live with G-Love, Blues Traveler and Umphrey's McGee.

If you go -- The Recher Theatre is at 512 York Road in Towson. The Bridge will open the show, with doors opening at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15-$18. For more information, go to rechertheatre.com or call 410-337-7178.

Strike a pose

The lowdown -- Vogue: A Celebration of Fashion, an "always-sold-out" fashion exhibition at Maryland Institute College of Art, will feature a variety of styles, from practical to outrageous, on Saturday. The designs are created and modeled by MICA students and are available for purchase.

If you go -- The event takes place at Brown Center's Falvey Hall, 1391 Mount Royal Ave. on Saturday. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $18 at the door for nonstudents. For more information, call 410-225-2300.

`Holiday' music

The lowdown -- Though the origins of the 4:20 "holiday" are debated, one thing is for sure. The first Baltimore 4:20 Fest will feature a trippy blend of local talent tonight at the Recher Theatre. Telesma psychedelically blends ancient and futuristic sounds, while Spilling the Sun appeals to a jam-band crowd. The show also features Jayakar, an acoustic jazz and funk outfit.

If you go -- The Recher Theatre is at 512 York Road in Towson. Show is at 8 p.m. Tickets are $7-$10. For more information, go to rechertheatre.com or call 410-337-7178.
