As Kris Benson finished getting dressed at his locker, he fired his towel toward a shopping cart in the middle of the clubhouse and overshot his target by a few feet.

"That had some carry on it," he said.

So did everything else he threw.

Benson kept leaving the ball up and over the plate, and the Angels reached him for four runs and nine hits in five innings.

"It's just a matter of making an adjustment before my next start," he said.
