Police probe fatal shooting of boy, 14

April 17, 2006

Police were investigating yesterday a shooting in Southwest Baltimore that killed a 14-year-old boy Saturday.

Raymond Revley was with a group of other youths in the 2200 block of Roslyn Ave. shortly before 8:30 p.m. when a dark blue or black car with tinted windows pulled up to them, said Agent Donny Moses, a Baltimore Police Department spokesman.

One of four males in the vehicle got out briefly and opened fire before the car sped away, Moses said.

Revley, of the 2600 block of Fairview Ave., suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the back of the head and abdomen, Moses said. He was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after 9 p.m., the spokesman said.

Police had no suspects and knew of no motive for the shooting.
