Litchfield Plantation on Pawley's Island, S.C., within five miles of nine championship courses, has a Golf Retreat for Couples beginning at $764-$900 for two nights. In addition to accommodations at the 600-acre resort, participants get a four-course gourmet dinner, breakfast, one round of golf per person (including cart) at Willbrook Plantation Golf Club, as well as a round at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club. Samoset Resort in Rockport, Maine, has added the ESPN Golf Schools to its golf programs. Golfers can choose from a variety of instructional programs, ranging from one- to three-day packages at various prices. For example, a three-day Resort School that emphasizes all aspects of the game will be offered June 16 and Aug. 25 for $1,995 or $2,495 with accommodations.
