Fifield, Seth Lewis

April 12, 2006

In Memory of SETH LEWIS FIFIELD, 6/03/1964-03/21/2006. Who died after a six year battle with brain cancer. Quick with a smile or a helping hand, he could always empathize with people who were in need and would provide whatever assistance he could. It was not in his nature to think of himself first. Seth took pride in his intense attention to detail whether it was architectural restoration of contemporary construction, striving to perform each job to perfection. He faced many challenges during his lifetime, he never seemed to be slowed or deterred by them. He was able to overcome most obstacles that were put in his way excepting his bout with cancer and lived most of his life as he wanted. He graduated from Landmark School in Beverly, Massachusetts and Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland. Family remained very important to Seth throughout his life. Yet he was an important part of an extended family, adopting people that he took care of and in turn they adopted him. Seth enjoyed the company of others and demonstrated that you could never have to many friends. The youngest of four, Seth Fifield is survived by both parents, his mother Roberta Fifield, of Baltimore, Maryland; his father, Lew Fifield and wife Christine; his grandmother, Edna Fifield of New Ipswich, New Hampshire; and his brothers, Brett and wife, Eeva Kaarinna and niece, Aurora of Henola, Finland; Bruce and wife Beatrice, and nieces Erica and Emma of Milan, Italy; Todd and wife Jamie Walker and nephew, Benjamin of Norfolk, Virginia. The family memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in memory of Seth L. Fifield to the Gilcrest Hospice Center of Baltimore, 6601 North Charles St., Baltimore, MD 21204.
