Exit interviews can reduce turnover

Tip Of The Week

April 12, 2006

Conducting exit interviews will enable your company to collect candid information that will help reduce turnover. An exit interview questionnaire gives structure to the process. If it is not possible to meet with employees before they leave, the questionnaire can be mailed, with a return-addressed, stamped envelope, and a letter explaining that the goal is to identify trends related to turnover. Be sure to design the questionnaire so that it is easy to use the data.
