Wildlife sanctuary holding garage sale

Frisky's Wildlife and Primate Sanctuary is holding its spring Garage Sale this month from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, rain or shine.

A large selection of goods will be available to purchase - including tools, toys, antiques, jewelry, Christmas decorations, glassware, furniture, collectibles, clothes and appliances.

Proceeds will help support the shelter's animals. Donations are also welcome.


GOP women plan legislative luncheon

Howard County Republican Women will hold a "Legislative Wrap-Up" luncheon at noon April 25 in the Crab Shanty Restaurant, 3410 Plumtree Drive, Ellicott City.

Expected to speak are Howard County Council Chairman Christopher J. Merdon and Councilman Charles C. Feaga, state Sens. Sandra B. Schrader and Allan H. Kittleman, and Dels. Gail H. Bates and Warren E. Miller.

The cost is $25 for club members; $30 for guests. Membership is open to any registered Republican woman. Associate membership is open to any registered Republican man. Everyone is welcome to attend as a guest.

Libraries to be closed Friday and Sunday

Passover Seder set tomorrow

Emmanuel Messianic Jewish Congregation will hold a community Passover Seder at 6:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Gathering Place, 6120 Day Long Lane, Clarksville. The congregation accepts Yeshua (Jesus) as the messiah.

The cost for dinner is $25 a person; $12.50 for children to age 14.
