Corrections

April 12, 2006

Some early editions of The Sun yesterday incorrectly described a state Senate vote on electric utility rates taken Monday in the closing minutes of the General Assembly session. The Senate gave preliminary approval to the measure, 29-16, but a procedural vote that would have allowed lawmakers to give final approval failed. The bill was never received by the House of Delegates.

An article in yesterday's Maryland section gave an incorrect estimate of how many senior citizens would receive property tax credits next year under a proposal by two Baltimore County councilmen. The correct figure is about 6,900 seniors, according to the county auditor.

The Sun regrets the errors.
