On April 3, 2006, MS. GWYN CHARLES. Friends may call at the MARCH FUNERAL HOME WEST, INC, 4300 Wabash Avenue on Wednesday, after 8:30 A.M., where the family will receive friends on Thursday, at 11:30 followed by funeral Service at 12 noon. BROWNE COHILL age 88 years formerly of Hancock, MD and a resident of St. Elizabeth Nursing Home, died Sunday, April 9, 2006 at the home. Born November 25, 1917 in Mt. Airy, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Robert C. and Mary Alice Welch Browne and the widow of James A. Cohill, Jr. who died in 1961. She retired in 1979 from the Baltimore County Board of Education where she taught at Bedford Elementary in Pikesville, MD. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Hancock, MD. She is survived by five daughters Mary Helen Horn and husband George of Rising Sun, MD, Regina Miller and husband Phil of Issue, MD, Cathy Gallagher and husband Bob of Aurora, IL, Agnes Martin and husband Allan of Catonsville, MD, Marguerite L. Branch and husband Kevin of Mechanicsville, VA, seven sons, Robert Cohill and wife Alicia of Catonsville, MD, William Cohill and wife Winolla of Naples, Florida, James Cohill of Catonsville, MD, Benjamin Cohill of Falls Church, VA, Charles Cohill of Mechanicsville, VA, Stephen Cohill and wife Ellen of Timonium, MD, Patrick Cohill and wife Ilene of Randallstown, MD; two sisters Monica Alice Browne Preisinger, Theresa Ann Browne Abraham, four brothers John A. Browne, David Louis Browne, Frank C. Browne and Joseph A. Browne; 26 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Browne, Maurice Browne and Thomas M. Browne. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday April 12, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 16 E. High Street, Hancock, MD, Rev. Joseph Cosgrove will be celebrant. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening 7-9 p.m. at the Grove Funeral Home, Hancock, MD. The family requests that memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Catholic Church, 16 E. High St., Hancock, MD 21750.
