Police searchers find body of missing boy

Baltimore County police divers discovered early yesterday the body of a 7-year-old Dundalk boy in Lynch Cove off Bear Creek. The boy had been reported missing Sunday night, police said.

Edward Deshawn Blue was last seen riding a silver scooter on Paulette Road in Dundalk, according to a news release. He was reported missing at 9:22 p.m. and police began to search.

A silver scooter was found on the pier off Paulette Road on Sunday night. Police helicopters and divers searched the area but discontinued the water search Sunday night because of the lack of light, said Cpl. Mike Hill, a county police spokesman.

The search resumed yesterday morning, and the dive team found the body at 7:30 a.m., police said.

Hill said the county Police Department will investigate the death. The county investigates the death of anyone under the age of 18 who dies of unnatural causes, he said.
