Conference set at Heritage Baptist

Heritage Baptist Church will host the Mid-Atlantic Cooperative Baptist Fellowship conference from 10 a.m. to noon tomorrow at 1740 Forest Drive, Annapolis.

The topic of the conference will be Joy Through Missions, given by global missions field personnel. A preview of the new mission curriculum will be presented.

This event is free, and nursery care will be provided.

Lunch will be available for $5.

Good Shepherd plans Bingo Blast

Bingo Blast is being held by the Church of the Good Shepherd at 2 p.m. Sunday at 1451 Furnace Ave., Glen Burnie.

A roast beef platter, coffee, sodas and cards are included for a donation of $20.

The jackpot is $500. Doors open at 1 p.m.

Unity by the Bay service is Sunday

Unity by the Bay will hold service on Sunday at 836 Ritchie Highway, Suite 18, Severna Park. The Mahala will speak on loaves and fishes. Doug Alan Wilcox will provide music.

Continuing events include: Silent Unity Prayer Time at noon, Monday through Thursday; meditation from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesdays; and A Course in Miracles from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursdays.

Galilee Lutheran's Holy Week events

Galilee Lutheran Church will be the host of a series of events during Holy Week at 4652 Mountain Road, Pasadena:

Palm Sunday will be themed "What Kind of King." At 8 a.m. traditional service of the word will be held; at 9:15 a.m. Sunday School; at 9:30 a.m. Adult Bible class; and at 10:45 a.m. Holy Communion.

There will be a Children's palm parade starting at 10:45 a.m. with distribution of palms Sunday.

Holy Communion will be held at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Maundy Thursday.

Good Friday service will be themed "A Big Enough God." At 12:05 p.m. devotion will be held, and at 7 p.m. Tenebrae will be held.

Holy Communion will be held with the theme "Remembering your `Born On' Date" at 7 p.m. April 15. Dress is casual.

Holy Communion will be held at 8 a.m., a potluck breakfast at 9:15 a.m. and Holy Communion again at 10:45 a.m. April 15.

Heritage Baptist announces services

Events planned for Holy Week at Heritage Baptist Church, 1740 Forest Drive, Annapolis.

The events are:

On Sunday, Palm Sunday Service will begin at 9:15 a.m. Sunday School and 10:30 a.m. worship service will be held Sunday.

Maundy Thursday Tenebrae Service will begin at 7 p.m. Communion will be held at this service.

There will be an Easter Egg Hunt from 10 a.m. to noon April 15. All ages are welcomed at this event. Children will be divided into groups, based on their age, where they will decorate Easter bags, enjoy refreshments and visit with the Easter Bunny.

Easter Sunday Fellowship Service will begin at 9 a.m. followed by Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. service given by the Rev. Henry Green.

April activities at Jenkins Memorial

Jenkins Memorial Church will host a series of events this month at 133 Riviera Drive, Pasadena.

The events are:

A spaghetti and lasagna dinner will be held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. tomorrow. The cost will be $6 for adults; $3 for children age 3 to 12; and free for children younger than 3.

WitnesSing will give a concert at 6 p.m. Sunday. This event is free and open to the public.

The JMC Drama group will give a performance called The Live Last Supper at 7 p.m. Thursday, followed by communion.

A desserts-only potluck will be held during a showing of Passions of the Christ at 7 p.m. April 14.

Holy Week set at Grace Baptist

Events planned for Holy Week at Grace Baptist Church of Sunset Beach at 17 Somerset Road, Pasadena:

Palm Sunday service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.

Maundy Thursday service will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Good Friday service will begin at 7 p.m. April 14.

There will be an Easter egg hunt from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. April 15. All ages are welcomed.

Easter Sunday Sunrise service will begin at 7 a.m., followed by breakfast at 8 a.m. served in the Fellowship Hall.

Holy Cross Antiochian Orthodox Church will host a series of events during the Lenten season and Holy Week at 105 North Camp Meade Road, Linthicum.

The events are:

The Pre-Sanctified Liturgy will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

The Canon of St. Lazarus Service will be at 7 p.m. April 14.

Matins will be held at 9 a.m. followed by Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. April 15.

St. Stephen's hosts Holy Week events

St. Stephen's Episcopal Church will host a series of programs for Holy Week at 1110 St. Stephen's Church Road, Crownsville.

The events are:

Holy Eucharist at 10 a.m. and an agape meal and Holy Eucharist at 6 p.m. Thursday.

A service from the Book of Common Prayer will be held at noon and a service on Stations of the Cross at 7:30 p.m. April 14.
