Two-alarm fire damages South County house

A two-alarm fire broke out in south Anne Arundel County yesterday morning.

Fire officials responded to the 5100 block of Chalk Point Road at 10:53 a.m. and found a single-family dwelling on fire.

No one was at the residence at the time. By 11:51 a.m., the fire was under control. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Damage estimates are pending.
