Lasagna dinner at Mount Hebron High

The Mount Hebron High School boys lacrosse team will hold its traditional lasagna dinner fundraiser from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the school cafeteria.

"I've lived here 14 years, and it was going on when we moved here," said parent Greg Birmingham, publicity chairperson for the dinner. His two children participate in the lacrosse program.

Tickets are $8; $5 for students, staff members and senior citizens.

St. Augustine School plans fundraiser

St. Augustine School, 5990 Old Washington Road, Elkridge, will hold an "Evening of Chance Extravaganza" from 8 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. April 29.

Food, raffles, a silent auction, electronic horseracing, wheels of chance, beer, wine and dancing are planned. The last ticket drawn during the evening will win $10,000. The winner need not be present to win.

Tickets are $125 a couple; 300 tickets will be sold. Proceeds will benefit the school's programs.

Library program offered for teens

The Miller branch library, 94211 Frederick Road, Ellicott City, will hold a meeting of its Teen Advisory Board, a chance for teens to meet friends, enjoy a snack, and share ideas about library programs and new books.

The program for ages 13 and older is held from 3:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, and on the first Tuesday of each month.

Around Town

Dine with Easter Bunny -- The Elkridge Volunteer Fire Department will hold an all-you-can-eat breakfast with the Easter Bunny from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. today at the firehouse, 6275 Old Washington Road. Eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage, home fries, sausage gravy, toast, juices, coffee and tea will be served. There is a fee. 410-313-4901.

English practice -- The Miller branch library, 9421 Frederick Road, Ellicott City, is offering an English Conversation Club for people speaking English as a second language from 7:45 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. Mondays. First-time participants must register before attending a meeting. 410-313-1950.

For girls -- The Elkridge library is offering a Girls Group, a chance for those ages 12 to 15 to unwind after school, talk about favorite books, movies and music and try a craft. The group is to meet from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays. Registration is requested.

For teens -- A Dungeons and Dragons Club for those ages 13 to 17 is planned at the Miller branch library for one Sunday each month. 410-313-5077.`Pippin' -- The Centennial High School drama department will present the Bob Fosse musical Pippin at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with a matinee performance at 2 p.m. Saturday. The performance, which includes special effects, also includes violence and is not appropriate for young children. Driver ed -- The Mount Hebron Viking Backers will offer driver education classes open to everyone. Sessions are scheduled from 2:30 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. weekdays, April 18 to May 1 and May 15-26. Driving time is scheduled after completion of the instruction period. The cost is $375, including classes and on-road training. Students must be at least 15 and have their learner's permits before taking the driving portion of the program. Instruction will be provided by Top Driver Inc. 800-374-8373.
