Glen Burnie church offers free classes

The Church of Christ of Glen Burnie will host a "Power Points for Living" lecture at 10:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. through tomorrow and at 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday at 2 Eastern St., Glen Burnie.

Mark Russell will give a presentation on "Impediments to Serving the Lord."

The classes are free and open to the community.

St. Athanasius plans fish fry, raffle today

The events committee of St. Athanasius Roman Catholic Church will sponsor a fish fry and raffle from 1 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. today at the rectory, 4708 Prudence St., Brooklyn.

The cost is $12 for adults, $5 for children ages 7 to 12, and free for children age 6 and younger. The cost for carryout is $12. Please call to purchase tickets in advance.

Free concert tonight at Woods Memorial

Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church will present a concert at 8 p.m. today at 611 Baltimore-Annapolis Blvd., Severna Park, themed "Make His Praise Glorious."

The concert will feature the Woods adult choir, along with the Calvin choir, conducted by Raymond Weidner.

The concert is free, and child care will be provided.

Church will host `Honeymooners'

Unity by the Bay Church will host a presentation of The Honeymooners live on stage by the Pasadena Theatre Company at 7 p.m. Sunday in Suite 18, 836 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park.

The cost is $12 in advance; $15 for adults, and $10 for children younger than 12 at the door.

All proceeds will go to Unity by the Bay Church.

13-week Bible study class begins Sunday

Grace Baptist Church of Sunset Beach will hold a Bible study at 6 p.m. starting Sunday through July 23 at 17 Somerset Road, Pasadena.

The theme of this 13-week study will be "Experiencing God" and will focus on developing an intimate relationship with God. The cost is $14.95 for the workbook. Registration is required.

Children's chorus to present benefit

All Children's Chorus of Annapolis will present a benefit for Nichols-Bethel United Methodist Church at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Annapolis Area Christian High School, Burns Crossing Road in Millersville.

Galilee to hold midweek service

Galilee Lutheran Church will host a midweek Lenten service at 11:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. Wednesday at 4652 Mountain Road, Pasadena.

There will be a light luncheon served after the morning service and dinner provided at 5:45 p.m. before the evening service.

Events scheduled at Holy Cross

Holy Cross Antiochian Orthodox Church will host a series of events during the Lenten season and Holy Week at 105 North Camp Meade Road, Linthicum.

The events planned are:

The Great Canon of St. Andrew Service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday.

The Pre-Sanctified Liturgy will be at 7 p.m. every Wednesday through April 12.

The Canon of St. Lazarus Service will be at 7 p.m. April 14.

Matins will be held at 9 a.m. followed by Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. April 15

Annual retreat set for April 5-6

The Friends of Bon Secours will host their annual retreat from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 5 and 6 at the Spiritual Center, 1525 Marriottsville Road, Marriottsville.

Christian Science group to meet

The Christian Science Society will hold its monthly meeting at noon and 8 p.m. Wednesday at 101 First Ave., S.E., Glen Burnie. The focus this month will be on examining a spiritual approach to health and healing.

April activities at Jenkins Memorial

Jenkins Memorial Church will host a series of events during the month of April at 133 Riviera Drive, Pasadena.

The events planned are:

A spaghetti and lasagna dinner will be held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. April 8. The cost will be $6 for adults, $3 for children ages 3 to 12, and free for children under 3.

WitnesSing will give a concert at 6 p.m. April 9. This event is free and open to the public.

The JMC Drama group will give a performance called The Live Last Supper at 7 p.m. April 13, followed by communion.

A desserts-only potluck will be held during a showing of Passions of the Christ at 7 p.m. April 14.

Taize Lenten service available at church

There will be a Taize Lenten service offered at Ark and Dove Presbyterian Church at 8 p.m. Wednesday at 8424 Piney Orchard Parkway, Odenton.

Conference set at Heritage Baptist

Heritage Baptist Church will host the Mid-Atlantic Cooperative Baptist Fellowship conference from 10 a.m. to noon April 8 at 1740 Forest Drive, Annapolis.

The topic of this year's conference will be Joy Through Missions, given by global missions field personnel, and a preview of the new mission curriculum will be given.

This event is free, and nursery care will be provided.
