Notable --The album came out in December, and the Creative Alliance show is the official CD release party.

Quotable --"When we went into the studio, we specifically got very clear as to what we were doing throughout the song," Trueman said. "We nailed the tempos, we nailed the phrasing. We wanted to get very clear as to what we were going to play for each song. It made the songs tighter and it ... didn't bust our budget, because we didn't have to go in there and make those decisions then and there."

Hear The Pale Stars on Saturday at Creative Alliance at the Patterson, 3134 Eastern Ave. The music starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $12 and $10 for members. Call 410-276-1651 or visit For more information about the band, visit
