GIRLS
STATS -- Playing her fourth season for the defending Class 4A state champion Knights, Olecski is the team's third baseman and one of the senior leaders. She is a three-sport athlete who ranks No. 6 acdemically in a class of 433. Olecski is the daughter of John Olecski, a three-sport star at Brooklyn Park .
SIDELINES -- Olecski, who also has played three years of volleyball and two seasons of basketball, received a Heritage Scholarship to UMBC. She has a cumulative 4.30 grade point average and scored 2,100 (out of 2,400) on her SAT. She is president of the National Honor Society and is a member of the Spanish and math teams and the Student Government Association. She loves country music and wants to be a math teacher and coach.
