Caroline Cochran, a sophomore attacker, had 11 goals and two assists to help the No. 2 Saints (4-0) to three wins last week.

Quick to the cage with a left-handed shot, Cochran opened with three goals in an 11-7 win over then-No. 3 Severn, the Saints' closest rival in the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference. She followed with a three-goal, two-assist performance in a 13-5 win over Mercy and then had five goals in an 11-6 win over Seton Keough.

Cochran, who had anterior cruciate ligament surgery last summer, worked hard to return to the field. Last season, the Saints won the IAAM A Conference crown with a potent attack and Cochran finished second on the team in goals with 55. Others considered: Allyson Carey, John Carroll, lacrosse; Amy Guyton, Long Reach, softball; Shannon Bonnett, Southwestern, softball.
