On Sunday, March 19, 2006, at Highline Medical Center, in Burien, WA, FRED CECIL CALDWELL, SR., 77, a retired carpet contractor of the Baltimore Washington area. Mr. Caldwell was born in Oakvale, WV. His parents later moved to Maryland where he worked for them on several farms. He learned to raise cattle, hogs, horses, harvested nuts, fruits and grains. At the age of 16 he moved to Brandywine, MD. In 1950 - 52, he served our country in the Korean War. He was in the US Army's 507th Infantry Regiment, 17th Airborne Infantry Division First Battalion - Company A. He returned to Brandywine, MD and later resided for over 30 years in Severn, MD. In 1999, he moved to Camden, SC until his recent move to Washington State in 2006. He was a member of the Church of God and loved his Lord dearly. He is the beloved son of the late Ralph M. Caldwell and Ada B. Caldwell; loving and devoted father of his son, Fred C. Caldwell, Jr and his wife Ava C. Caldwell, and daughters, Mary Kathryn Caldwell Bromly and of the late Rebecca Freda Caldwell; dear brother of the late Alfred Cecil, Margaret Ethel, Harold Rance, Lena Virginia, Leonard Darrel; dear brother of Rev. Loca Jerry, Rev. Namon Eolif, Rev. James Jackson and Phyllis Leona; loving grandfather of Eric Britton and Lauren Ashley Caldwell and also survived by 15 nieces and 10 nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, Inc., 7250 Washington Blvd, Elkridge, MD 21075 for the viewing on Sunday, March 26, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M. Funeral Services will be held in the Vermillion Chapel at Meadowridge Memorial Park, Inc., 7250 Washington Blvd., Elkridge, MD 21075 on Monday, March 27, 2006 at 2 P.M. Interment, Meadowridge Memorial Park, Inc.
