March 25, 2006|By MATTHEW DOLAN

A 47-year-old Annapolis man was sentenced in federal court yesterday to more than 19 years in prison for conspiracy to distribute cocaine.

U.S. District Judge J. Frederick Motz sentenced Keith Brown after he pleaded guilty in June and admitted that he and others distributed large amounts of cocaine in Annapolis and New York City. Part of his drug distribution included public housing communities in Annapolis and Eastport, according to authorities.

Brown served as a courier and cooker, turning powder cocaine into crack, authorities said. His sentencing is scheduled for April 21.
